1. WHAT IS MSMAware? MSMAware is a software designed specifically for MSMA- the urban drainage design guideline for Malaysia. WHAT ARE THE MODULES IN MSMAware? MSMAware consists of the following 6 modules: a. Design Storm, b. Rational Method, c. Time-Area Method, d. On-Site Detention, e. Detention Basin, and f. Culvert Design The Storm Module computes and plot the design storm IDF curves for any locations in Malaysia based on 3 different design storm guidelines as follows: a. Second Edition of MSMA (2011)- which covers 135 storm stations in West Malaysia. b. HP1 (2021) for West Malaysia- which covers 180 storm stations in West Malaysia, plus averaged storm on 10 and 20 km grids. c. HP26 (2018) for East Malaysia- which covers 174 stations in East Malaysia, plus averaged storm on 10 and 20 km grids. The Storm Module considers the Temporal Patterns, ARF (Areal Reduction Factor), CCF (Climate Change Factor) based on the 3 different design storm guidelines above.
